CILVR was born in Delhi, inside contradiction.

A city where women are taught visibility and invisibility at the same time.

Where strength is expected to be silent.

Where ornament is allowed, but authority is negotiated.

Where power must look graceful to be acceptable.

CILVR is built inside that tension.

This is not a brand about decoration.

This is a brand about architecture for the female body in a society that resists female authority.

Shruti Kathpal Madan

She has an eccentric eye for fashion, imbibed in her as if it was some poetry running in her veins. Coincidentally, literature was her first love before fashion came along. She graduated in literature from Delhi University and moved on to search for something that feeds her soul.

Fashion became her way of life. After studying it diligently at NIFT Delhi, she moved on to work as a stylist and designer. Gaining the sufficient experience that she exudes through clothes now,
CILVR became an expression of love for her. The love for high fashion and innovation required in this field of art.

She is the first of two halves of this collaboration, and he’d agree on her being the “better half”.
Unravelling the aesthetics of the underdog is her mantra and what CILVR is to her.

Rahul Madan

He holds his head high and etiquette even higher. We’d call him a man of few words but multiple talents. For the one who isn’t just a jack of all trades, but also masters each one of them. Started his journey by learning animation and film-making, and he got through the most prestigious colleges, including UCLA, on merit.

He then worked as a visual effects artist in Hollywood, bringing his compassion to life. Talking about the visual appeal, he was a model and had been featured in a few esteemed magazines like GQ. Gaining experience in his field of interest, he returned to his home ground to work for the legacy his dad created in the textile business. With his ever-growing fascination with fashion, he conceived hisbrainchild with the love of his life and began the journey of CILVR.

Structure in lifestyle matters to him and that is what he adds to the aesthetics of this brand. CILVR should be an expression of living in clover, he believes.
